Since its establishment, Qiyuan Green Power has been committed to the construction of battery charging and swapping infrastructures.
To date, it has deployed more than 1200 electric heavy duty truck battery charging and swapping stations and more than 100 trunk line battery charging networks across 31 provinces and cities nationwide to provide energy supply services, with a total serviced mileage of 30,000 km, and a market share of over 70%. The Chengdu-Deyang-Mianyang Trunk Line, built by Qiyuan Green Power, signifies the ongoing transition to green energy within the Chengdu-Deyang-Mianyang Economic Circle, a critical economic and population hub in Sichuan Province.
This green transport corridor links battery charging stations along Qiyuan Mianyang Xing'an Avenue, Chengde Avenue, and extends to Chengdu Qingbaijiang Station, covering a total distance of approximately 200km. It provides an efficient and convenient energy replenishment network for new-energy heavy duty trucks, facilitating rapid battery swapping and significantly enhancing the efficiency of sand and gravel transportation.
As the first new energy trunk line for sand and gravel transportation in Sichuan, this network is set to expand to accelerate the low-carbon transition within the logistics sector of the Chengdu Economic Circle, aiding in the seamless energy shift of numerous transportation fleets from fuel to electricity.
Moreover, this network has successfully mitigated the effects of urban traffic constraints on logistics. It notably offers reliable new energy transport solutions for high-demand end-users, including mixer trucks, and addresses the energy replenishment gap in the "last mile," ensuring the seamless functioning of the supply chain, kickstarting the green and efficient movement of bulk goods within the Chengdu Economic Circle and establishing a robust base for the sustainable growth in this region.
The Wutuo Trunk Line represents the inaugural long-haul, heavy duty truck battery charging and battery swapping trunk line developed by Qiyuan Green Power in Xinjiang. Stretching approximately 350km, it traverses the Gobi Desert and links the region's heavy industries with its mineral resources.
Implementing the "charging, swapping and supply integrated solution" with facilities including battery swapping stations, mobile power supply trucks, and charging piles specially designed for high-altitude areas integrated, this eco-friendly corridor caters to the varied energy needs of heavy duty trucks, substantially enhancing transport efficiency, offering drivers a convenient and smart driving experience, while markedly cutting operational costs and carbon emissions. This solution created by Qiyuan Green Power is not only environmentally friendly but also saves customers significant energy costs, thanks to its efficient kinetic energy recovery technology and the cost differential between fuel and electricity. By January 2024, Baowu Group Xinjiang Bayi Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. has deployed more than 180 battery-swapping heavy duty trucks. This move is anticipated to save approximately 12.29 million liters of fuel annually, equivalent to a reduction of 32,000 tons in carbon dioxide emissions and a decrease of 2.16 million tons in four major pollutants. It is also projected to cut energy consumption costs by about 50 million yuan each year, delivering significant economic and environmental advantages to customers.
Qiyuan has successfully completed the delivery of four battery charging and swapping stations at Yunnan Wenshan Liuzhao Water Station, Nasai Water Station, Babao Service Area, and Babao Water Station along the Fuyan Section of the G80 Expressway, marking the official launch of China's first cross-provincial expressway battery swapping trunk line.
Moreover, the four new battery swapping stations link up with the existing four stations in Baise, Guangxi Province, creating a transportation trunk line spanning over 300 km. This development ensures rapid and convenient charging solutions for new-energy heavy duty trucks traversing the route between Wenshan and Baise, markedly bolstering the sustainable expansion of the aluminum industry and advancing the shift to low-carbon transportation in both the Wenshan and Baise areas. Through the establishment of battery charging and swapping stations, along with battery management services and a suite of other initiatives, Qiyuan Green Power has been advancing, and will persist in driving, the green energy transition within local transport fleets. The battery charging and swapping facilities along the transportation trunk line have greatly reduced the range anxiety of drivers operating new-energy heavy-duty trucks on long hauls, enhanced the efficiency of energy replenishment, diminished the environmental footprint of logistics companies, and cut operating expenses. The battery swapping solution is projected to reduce transportation costs by 20%-25% compared to traditional fuel-powered heavy duty trucks, while also achieving near-zero carbon emissions. This innovation not only yields economic advantages for local transport companies and paves a new path for regional carbon emission reduction, but it also serves as a model for the electrification of heavy duty trucks in the Yunnan and Guangxi provinces.
In early 2024, the Qiongzhong and Wushi Interchange battery swapping station, built by Qiyuan Green Power in Hainan, commenced operations. This event signified the establishment of China's first inter-provincial "green transportation corridor" equipped with battery swapping facilities.
Till now, Qiyuan has deployed 21 battery charging and swapping stations for heavy-duty trucks throughout Hainan, creating a network that spans over 600 km across the island. This network supports close to 700 battery-swapping heavy duty trucks and helps cut carbon dioxide emissions by an estimated 66,000 tons annually, significantly advancing the green evolution of Hainan's logistics sector and furthering the vision of transforming it into a "clean energy island."
Qiyuan Green Power has been actively involved in developing industry standards, and one of the notable achievement is the group standard titled "Construction of shared battery swap stations for electric medium/heavy duty trucks and technical specifications for battery swapping vehicles" that has been officially released on the National Group Standard Information Platform, further promoting the standardization process in the field of battery swapping for heavy duty trucks. The Tangshan battery charging and swapping network, constructed by Qiyuan Green Power and spanning 460km, stands as China's first and presently the longest heavy-duty truck battery swapping network. Within the network, Qiyuan Green Power has established close to 70 battery charging and swapping stations, catering to the fast energy replenishment needs of more than 7,000 battery-swapping heavy duty trucks in the region.
Additionally, Qiyuan Green Power has expanded its operations to include a battery bank and a digital management platform, leveraging the operational benefits of a comprehensive one-stop solution. This approach enables the provision of efficient and convenient battery charging and swapping services for logistics fleets, addressing the concerns of electric heavy duty truck drivers regarding range and energy replenishment. The Tangshang battery swapping network, with its three vertical and one horizontal trunk lines, serves over 20 surrounding steel mills. This network facilitates an annual reduction in crude oil consumption by roughly 250,000 tons, which translates to a decrease of over 800,000 tons in carbon dioxide emissions. Qiyuan Green Power enhances environmental performance for steel companies, achieving an A rating, through its cutting-edge green electric transportation solutions and a strategically planned battery charging and swapping network, thereby fostering green development within Tangshan's steel industry.
In early 2024, the Shenyang-Dalian Trunk Line for battery swapping of heavy-duty trucks was completed by Qiyuan Green Power and officially put into operation, signifying that the Shenyang-Dalian Expressway, celebrated as the "First Road of the Divine Land," successfully underwent its battery swapping transformation.
The Shenyang-Dalian Trunk Line stretches approximately 420km from Shenyang to Dalian, linking provincial capitals and key cities like Liaoyang, Anshan, Haicheng, Yingkou, and Dalian. It also connects the largest free trade port, Yingkou Port, and the largest foreign trade port, Dalian Port, in the three northeastern provinces. As the longest battery swapping trunk line for heavy-duty trucks in Northeast China, it serves as a low-carbon, eco-friendly transportation corridor, supporting the green transportation of nearly 200 battery-swapping heavy duty trucks across various sectors, including steel mills, ports, mines, sand and gravel materials, urban construction waste haulage, and automotive parts logistics.
The integrated solution crafted by Qiyuan Green Power is designed to foster the green evolution of businesses along the trunk line with efficiency and a low carbon footprint. It is projected to achieve an annual fuel substitution of approximately 4 million liters and a reduction in carbon emissions by around 10,000 tons. Consequently, this initiative holds considerable importance for the green transformation of the Northeast region.
